UX Writing > Google Ads integration

  • Product: Allow Wix users to easily create a Google Ads smart campaign from their site's dashboard in a few simple steps. Then, be able to track results in one convenient place, such as purchases made on their site.

  • Scope: Welcome page, onboarding, 3-step campaign creation wizard, stats dashboard, and search term and keyword manager

​​

  • Challenge: Launch Google Ads with Wix product (built with an API from Google Ads) inside of the Wix user website dashboard by Black Friday (we started in June). The team had already been working on Facebook Ads integration with Wix and wanted to improve the paid ad campaign capabilities for the user experience. We also had to ensure the Google Ads Partnership Team approved our product from terminology to design and functionality.

  • Basic Process: User research/ empathy mapping > UX/UI & Content > Development > QA > User test and reiteration > Go Live in EN > Localize > Test & Improve

​

  • Achievements: 

    • Now the product is responsible for nearly 3% of the Wix.com's earnings

    • Over 2,000 campaigns created in ~2 weeks of opening to US English users and earned more than $100K in subscriptions

    • $500K revenue in one month of opening to 100% EN users, and the number continues to grow
